I finally got my Scrapbox up

Some of you know that I attended the Scrapbook Expo in Puyallup in July and I saw (for the first time ever) the fabulous Scrapbox which is an organizing unit for your scrapbook stuff.  I fell in love and had to have one.  Here are before and after pictures of my office/scrap room/catch all.

  1. The Scrapbox is a wonderful idea. I need one very badly.

  2. I have one too but mine is still crated...waiting (not too patiently I might add) for my "space" to be renovated in our basement...my question, was it easy to organize your unit? I am stressing over getting it set up into something functional...

    1. Mine sat in the box for a month and I was quite anxious to get it up. It took a few hours to clean out my office, to even have some place to put it once it was built. Since my husband had a 3 day weekend over Labor Day, I told him that was THE weekend to do it. It took us a couple hours on Saturday to make the doors and a couple hours on Sunday to make the base. It definitely took 2 people to do it. Sometimes I had to hold a piece in order for him to drill or something. If you follow the diagram and double-check everything, it will turn out. Of course, it took me 2 days to organize all my crap into the unit. But I took my time, as I was thoughtful about how many of this I had, and I picked the appropriate drawer for it. Ran out of label stuff in the middle, so had to run to the store so I could finish labeling all the little bins. Keep in mind that I have WAY more stuff than my unit could hold, so I still have the white shelving unit with all the blue lidded bins in there, all labeled with stuff that didn't fit or I didn't want to put in the Scrapbox. But I LOVE IT!!!
